Aglomeration Drum

The agglomeration drum is a rotary unit used in metallurgical and industrial processes to transform fine grained materials into spherical particles (pellets). In simple terms, it rolls powdered material into larger, free flowing, and dimensionally controlled granules. In gold, copper, and nickel heap leaching processes in particular, fine particles can obstruct solution percolation within the heap, thereby reducing recovery efficiency. By forming stable agglomerates in the agglomeration drum, heap permeability is increased and metal recovery rates are improved. The special internal liner design enables controlled material flow dynamics inside the drum, ensuring stable granule geometry and allowing process performance to be optimized.
