Mineral Sizer (Tooth Crusher)

Toothed crushers are high capacity machines designed for the crushing of materials with high clay content, as well as wet, sticky, hard materials or combinations thereof. On the counter rotating rotors, the teeth—referred to as shredding elements—grip the ore with the leading tooth faces, subjecting the material to multi point loading and inducing stresses that exploit natural weaknesses in the rock. In the second stage, the material is fractured under tensile stress through a three point loading mechanism applied between the front tooth faces on one rotor and the rear tooth faces on the opposing rotor. Any oversized lumps that remain after these stages are reduced in size as the rotors shear the material against the fixed breaker bar teeth, ensuring a controlled, three dimensional product size. Ersel toothed crushers are designed with an automatic protection system that halts the machine in the event uncrushable objects or plug forming materials are fed into the crusher. The system then reverses the rotor direction to eliminate the blockage and restore normal operation.
