Raise bore drill rods,stabilizers,stems are used in the raise boring method of shaft excavation. They connect a raise boring machine to a reaming head and pilot bit, transmitting torque and axial force to drill a pilot hole from which a large-diameter shaft is later created by the reamer. The rods are constructed from high-strength steel and feature threaded, treated connections to prevent galling and withstand the significant forces involved in drilling large-diameter shafts in mining and civil engineering projects.
