Thickener Tank

When a feed flow enters the concentrator, solids settle at the bottom. The clarified liquid overflows from the top. The clean zone represents the clean transport liquid, which is free of solids in most applications. The settling zone consists of a pallet with a consistency that is quite homogeneous and has a solid concentration similar to that of the feed flow. The compression zone shows a compressed pallet where solid particles force the liquid through small openings, causing compression and dehydration High Rate Thickeners (HRT) - Designed for high settling rates using flocculants; typical diameters range from 1 to 125 meters. High Compression Thickeners (HCT) - Conventional thickeners that do not require mandatory flocculant addition; typical diameters range from 1 to 65 meters. Paste Thickeners (PT) - Designed to achieve very high solids concentration and produce a paste-like discharge; typical diameters range from 1 to 45 meters.
