## Double Shaft Mixer The Double Shaft Mixer is designed for continuous heavy-duty operation in clay preparation lines. It ensures homogeneous mixing of clay raw materials and clay dust with controlled water addition, delivering consistent plasticity and preparing the material for stable downstream extrusion processes. Engineered for capacities between **60–80 t/h** (depending on raw material characteristics and moisture content), the mixer provides efficient blending and plasticizing performance under demanding operating conditions (24 hours per day, up to 360 days per year). ### Design & Construction The mixer body is manufactured as a welded steel construction from structural steel, designed for high rigidity and long service life when handling abrasive clay materials. Two parallel mixing shafts equipped with paddle-type hoes ensure intensive and uniform material mixing. Wear parts such as paddles are produced from wear-resistant alloy steel casting to guarantee durability and reduced maintenance requirements. Oversized roller bearings support reliable operation under high load conditions. All rotating components are dynamically balanced, and inspection covers are provided for easy maintenance access. The entire unit is mounted on a rigid single chassis integrating the mixer body and gearbox. ### Drive System The mixer is driven by a belt-pulley transmission system with protective guards. The gearbox features a cast iron housing with heat-treated alloy steel gears for long-term reliability. A pneumatic multi-disc clutch system ensures smooth start-up, operational flexibility, and mechanical protection.
