SON-MAK RX-4

The RX-4 is a fully hydraulic diamond core drilling rig, specifically designed for surface exploration drilling. It represents the perfect combination of the proven RX concept with new, powerful components. The RX-4 incorporates well-established technology for diamond core drilling, enhanced with modern improvements to ensure easy operation. Features such as hydraulic jacks, mast dump, hinged top mast, and centralized controls at the operator panel provide quick and efficient setup. Additional highlights include a high-capacity main winch, powerful direct feed cylinder, advanced diesel engine, telescopic mast, and hydraulic rod holder. The rig’s rotation speed, power, and rotation unit aperture diameter are optimized to deliver superior performance in 60–122.6 mm (B–P) diameter wireline or conventional drilling. Key functions—including the drilling unit, power unit, wireline unit (automatic winding system), main winch, mixer, and mud pump—are all operated from the operator panel. The panel’s gauge displays critical parameters such as: -Advancement position -Hold-back force -Feed force -Rotation speed It also allows monitoring of operational data and direct control of the diesel engine. The RX-4 can be mounted on three different chassis options: -Skid frame -Wheel frame -Crawler frame With hydraulic cylinder advancement, the rig enables precise drilling adjustments. Its automatic rod removal and clamping system ensures a high penetration rate, optimal core recovery, and significant time savings.
