Miners Association Of Türkiye (TMD) was established in 1948 with the aim of leading the development of the mining sector and contributing to the Turkish economy, and it is the first non-governmental organization founded in the field of mining. With its extensive membership network consisting of both public and private sector companies, TMD today represents a structure that accounts for approximately 75% of the total mining production in our country (excluding natural stone). Our Association aims to maximize the economic, environmental, and social impacts of the sector by promoting sustainable, responsible, and efficient mining practices. TMD continues to actively operate in many areas, including developing sectoral policies, conducting advocacy activities, carrying out research, preparing publications, and raising public awareness.
