The Department of Mining Engineering, operating under the Faculty of Engineering since 1991, comprises the Divisions of Mining Operations and Mineral Processing. Since the early 2000s, the department has made significant progress by adopting modern laboratory facilities aligned with international standards. With a young and dynamic academic staff, an up-to-date curriculum, and well-equipped laboratories, it emphasizes practice-oriented education. Since 1999, student intake has been aligned with levels in developed countries. The department is committed to educating engineers in line with national and global standards while continuously improving its library and computing infrastructure to support high-quality education.
