Our faculty was established in 1970 as Eskişehir State Engineering and Architecture Academy and started education with a total of 160 students in the Departments of Mechanical and Civil Engineering. Mining Engineering Department was established in Eskişehir in 1975 in order to support the activities of enterprises located in an important mining center such as Eskişehir. In our department, there are Mining Operations, Mineral Processing and Excavation Mechanization and Technology Divisions. In 1982, the faculty was affiliated with Anadolu University Faculty of Engineering and Architecture with the YÖK law no. 2547 and education continued in Bademlik Campus. With the Decree Law No. 496 published in the Official Gazette No. 21672 on 18 August 1993, the Faculties of Medicine, Engineering-Architecture and Science-Literature and health-related vocational schools were transferred to the newly established Osmangazi University in Eskişehir. With the law no. 5379 dated July 1, 2005, the name of our university became Eskişehir Osmangazi University .
