A separator system or air classifier is a type of classification equipment used to separate materials based on their sizes. This system is typically used to classify powdered materials. An air classifier uses air flow to transport materials and separates them inside a high-speed rotating rotor based on their size. As the materials are rapidly moved by the rotor, the air flow separates them according to their sizes. Larger particles fall faster, while smaller particles may remain suspended in the air for longer and can be collected in a separate container later on.
