"Over 158 thousand people are employed in the mining industry"
In a speech he delivered at the official opening ceremony of the fair, Turkish Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Prof. Dr. Şeref Kalaycı stated how the Mining Türkiye Fair closed a significant gap in respect of the mining industry and continued, "Today, more than 158 thousand people are employed in the mining industry in our country. Unfortunately, mining industry is perceived negatively in our country. Major responsibility falls particularly on the Mining Türkiye Fair, in converting the perception of the industry from negative into positive. Our Fair fills a great gap in this respect. I wish the 17th International Mineral Processing Symposium that is organized simultaneously with the Mining Türkiye Fair brings the best to our industry and Türkiye."

"A 65 percent growth in the number of exhibitors"
General Manager of Tüyap Exhibitions Production Inc., İlhan Ersözlü, pointed how the Mining Türkiye Fair continued advancing and developing further with every passing year and added, "With our 638 exhibitors in total, our fair has now gained an international identity. We are expecting to see over 15 thousand visitors from 110 countries at the Fair. Considering the figures, there is a 65 percent growth in the number of exhibitors. In this way, it has become the greatest and most important fair in the region. We are of the opinion that the 17th International Mineral Processing Symposium that we have organized jointly with our Fair will also make up a considerable deficiency in respect of the mining industry."

Prof. Dr. Güven Önal, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Foundation for Development of Domestic Mining, highlighted that the Mining Türkiye Fair was initially held on an area of 2 thousand square-meters; and, that area has now expanded by 10 times, which meant that development of fair organization was equal to the development of mining industry.

Speaking on behalf of the Mining Platform, İbrahim Alimoğlu, Chairman of the Executive Board of the Aegean Exporters' Association, underlined that the Mining Türkiye Fair has made remarkable contributions to the industry since 2004 and added that mining industry played the leading role in the future of our country and the fair filled a significant gap in this respect.
